Lambda Project
Controls: Mouse and Arrow Keys
This is my solo submission for the Beginner's Jam March 2025 , with the theme 'Reflection'.
It is my attempt in creating an incremental game, since I've been consuming a lot from the genre.
All of the components and assets in the game were made by me. That includes:
- UI Elements (Aseprite)
- Sprites and animations (Aseprite)
- Music and SFX (BeepBox and Bfxr)
- Programming (Construct 2)
Hope you enjoy! ^^

I may have broken it slightly. It said over 2km when I quit...
And now it's just counting up on the Experiment Screen...
LOL that’s crazy bro XD I didn’t implement a notation system to change from m to km because I thought no one would get past like 500m. Damn I’m honored! Thanks for playing it. Truly.
My personal best yet XD!
Really polished, complete game! I love the concept and the feel of it; the art and music are all very nice too. I feel like the pacing of the game feels very slow after a certain point though; each time I shoot the beam I continue to make money somewhat slowly relative to the increase in the cost of upgrades. I wish that the upgrades were more powerful so the ramp-up in money generation is faster. Maybe I'm missing something though because I fail to see how other people managed to hit above like 10m in a reasonable amount of time?
Hey, thanks for the nice comment and feedback! I’m glad you had fun playing it. About the money, the furthest you go, the more money you get. To be exact and give you a peak behind the curtains, this how much money you make with each mirror collision:
So just keep grinding and you’ll get all of the upgrades ^^
you cant scroll through the upgrade place on laptop, they dont have a scroll thing, it would be better if it also used the arrow keys or you could just drag with the mouse, it also seems i cant move with the arrows in the chamber thing, am i supposed to unlock it? im just not moving at all, please fix, it seems verry fun.
Hi, thanks for the comment. I changed the move button to M2. Now you should be able to use it in your laptop. About the arrows not working, I’m not sure what could be causing this issue. I couldn’t recreate it on my end. I’m sorry it’s affecting your experience :(
yo, i can move with the arrows now in the chamber! epic fix mr man. buuuut i still cant scroll through the upgrade menu, what do you mean mouse two? i tried using both! double clicking and holding the button in while scrolling! WAAAAH!
I guess the time I uploaded the update got over the jam’s deadline :( so its using the old file still
I guess it’s all good now. I changed the file to the new one and it’s playing for me
yup. it worky burky now
Good game!
Is there a goal?
After hitting 250m i stopped on purpose to see whats gonna happen.
Is there something else to do after unlocking everything?
If you hold down and keep crashing the bottom mirror, you get out of bounds and the game kinda glitches
Hi, thanks for the nice comment ^^ There is an ending after unlocking all the upgrades, yes. About the glitching out of bounds, just keep crashing on the other side and you come back glitching the same way XD
Nothing quite like hitting 40m thinking that it would be my personal best, only to reach a particle with %1 left and then go on another for another 55m.
This is def my favorite of the jam! Music was a bit loud, and I personally don't like the #5 in the font, but those were minor issues really. Thanks for a fun game :)
Hey, thanks! That means a lot ^^ I’m glad you had fun. I appreciate the feedback as well. The font I’m already considering changing. And about the music, I think I’ll add a slider to better control the audio.
Really nice idea and an actual finished game lol
Thanks!
