Fight your way through a mysterious dungeon in this roguelite deckbuilder adventure game. Build a strong deck of different attacks and defences as yout try to reach the Abyss!

This project was an undergraduate teaching assistantship test for my games university course. The assignment was to create a roguelite card game in approximately two days. 

The game was made in Construct 2 using free assets from itch.io. All of the programming and game logic was made by me gabrieeeuu.itch.io.

this is a really fun game! thank you! I played it a couple of hours to build a high energy, high draw, high damage deck. got till level 22. 

a few things if you don't mind me giving feedback: 

- the gold coins don't collect automatically after round end, that's always a lot of work to pick them up

- an option for keyboard input would make this so awesome, because of speed running vibes (like key: 1 for 1st card, key: 2 for 2nd card and so on)

- maybe a bug, maybe a feature: you can buy the same card after you've bought it, just select the now invisible card again and click buy. it worked for me and actually benefitted my run a lot

- the 0 cost "replace a card" card is rather useless - unless there is a benefit to shuffling through cards (i.e. for every card played deal 1 damage to an opponent)


and some ideas / potential ways you can spice it up a bit more:

- AOE damage would be awesome. something like cost: 4 energy // deal 3 damage to all opponents

- maybe add an epic threshold guardian every 5 levels a bit stronger and with a special reward, like a strong card that you can't usually buy in the store

I will take it all into consideration. The coin collection is automatic if you go to the next level or go back to the shop. The bug with the invisible card is new to me XD

great game, although the if you run out of cards you die thing is annoying and the shop has too little cards too buy or maybe add a reroll or something.

also is your name (gabrieeeuu) a reference to something?

About my name. No, it’s not a reference as far as I’m aware. It’s just a weird way of saying my name “Gabriel”. I’ve been using this @ since forever in all my gaming accounts. Also in some professional enviroments lol

Awesome game in my opinion, it's really fun to play, I spent at least an hour playing it and I managed to reach level 11. The way the difficulty increases is well made. I would only add a button to refresh all cards if you run out of them. Overall, the game is really good and fun to play, good job!
